Communion and christening catering in Madrid
We look after the food for your child's First Communion in Madrid, with a kitchen team and waiting staff or with the order delivered ready to serve, so you can spend the day with your family. The dishes come from our menu and we plan them for children and adults alike. We also cater christenings. Give us the date and the number of guests, and we'll send you a proposal.

First Communion food, in safe hands
On the day of the Communion you want to be with your son or daughter, the grandparents and the godparents, not keeping an eye on the food. We prepare it from our menu, adjust it to your guests and send you a written quote so you can look it over at your leisure before you decide.
We’ve already catered several First Communions: two families who booked us for their daughter’s Communion wrote about it on Google, and you can read their words further down. María Lluch Careaga founded the business in 2019; find out more about us.
If you already have the date, ask us for a Communion proposal.
A menu for children and adults
At a First Communion, children the same age as your son or daughter eat alongside parents and grandparents, so the menu has to please everyone without making two separate meals. The most practical approach is a mix of small pieces children can pick up, more substantial dishes for the adults and desserts every age enjoys.
| Who it’s for | From our menu |
|---|---|
| Children | Mini baguettes with cooked ham and mustard or with Spanish omelette, classic mini burgers, breaded chicken tenders with two sauces, fruit skewers |
| Adults | Porcini or truffle mini croquettes, king prawn skewers with panko, Iberian pork cheek mini tacos, Thai-style salmon tartare with crackers |
| To share | Spanish omelette, acorn-fed Iberian charcuterie board with picos (mini breadsticks), Spanish cheese board with grapes and walnuts, hummus with crudités |
| Desserts | Tres leches cake, biscuit and chocolate mousse cake with Lacasitos chocolate beans, mini brownies with walnuts, mousse cups |
If any guests are vegetarian or vegan, the menu has vegan spring rolls, mini vegetarian samosas and caprese salad. Every dish has its allergen sheet; tell us about allergies and intolerances and we adapt the menu.
The full list of dishes, with every variation, is on the menu for our catering delivery in Madrid. If you have something specific in mind for dessert, tell us in your request and we’ll suggest a bespoke menu.
What the kitchen team and waiting staff do on the day
When you book the service with staff, the kitchen team and waiting staff make sure the food reaches the table at the right pace and look after your guests. That’s exactly what the two families who booked us for their daughter’s Communion picked out: the pace of the kitchen and the attentiveness of the waiting staff.
- Kitchen team: prepares the pieces and sends them out throughout the celebration.
- Waiting staff: serve the guests and keep an eye on what the table needs.
- You: spend the day with your family and your guests.
We set out exactly what the service includes in the proposal, before you confirm. We take care of everything: transport, set-up, tableware, waiting staff if you need them and clearing away at the end.
Communion at home: with our team or delivered
If you’re holding the Communion at home, there are two ways we can help. The difference is who serves the food: our staff or you. Either way, the dishes come from the same menu, and you receive the proposal with the price in advance.
- With a kitchen team and waiting staff in your home: a standing drinks reception or a seated meal, as with our private party catering.
- With the food ready for you to serve: you choose from the menu and we deliver the order, as with our catering delivery.
If you’re looking for ideas for another family celebration during the year, there’s also our birthday catering.
Madrid city and nearby towns (Alcobendas, Pozuelo, Las Rozas…); weekends with prior coordination.
Christening catering
We approach a christening the same way as a First Communion: the dishes come from our menu, adapted to whoever’s coming, babies and small children included. A christening is one of the occasions we design bespoke menus for. Tell us when it is, how many guests you’re expecting and where it’s being held, and we’ll suggest pieces and a format.
Write to us about your christening with the date and the number of guests.
How to book your Communion catering
Booking catering for a First Communion is simple: you give us the date and a rough idea of numbers, we send you a written proposal, we fine-tune it with you and you confirm. You’re not committed to anything until that last step, and you can get in touch while you’re still working out who’s coming.
- Send us the details. Use the form or call +34 680 78 73 26: date, venue, number of guests, how many are children and any allergies.
- We send you the proposal. The pieces we recommend, the format and the total, in writing.
- We fine-tune it with you. We change dishes or quantities until it’s right for you, and then you confirm.
- On the day. The food is ready, served by our staff or delivered to your home, depending on the format you’ve chosen.
- Notice: We recommend requesting it at least 72 hours in advance; on high-demand dates, with more time.
- Reply: We reply to your quote request within 24–48 h.

What two families say
We have 5.0 out of 5 on Google, from 8 reviews (October 2026), and two of those reviews come from families who celebrated their daughter’s First Communion with us. Here is a word-for-word extract from each, with the author’s name; the full reviews are just below.
«Los camareros funcionaron fenomenal y la cocinera fantástica y eficiente, logró que todo fuera saliendo a buen ritmo.» — B L.
[The waiting staff were brilliant and the cook was fantastic and efficient: she kept everything coming out at a good pace. (translated)]
«Fue todo un acierto haber contratado el catering tanto por la profesionalidad de Maria como de su equipo, que estuvieron atentos en todo momento.» — Juan R.
[Hiring her catering was absolutely the right call, both for María’s professionalism and for her team’s, who were attentive at all times. (translated)]
Ask for your Communion proposal
Tell us the date, how many of you there will be and what you’d like on the table, and we’ll send you a written proposal. Not sure yet whether you’d rather have staff at home or receive the food ready-prepared? Tell us how you picture the day and we’ll decide together.

Frequently asked questions
What can you serve at a First Communion?
A menu with something for every age works best: small pieces children can pick up with their hands and more substantial dishes for the adults. From our menu, that could be mini baguettes, classic mini burgers, Iberian ham mini croquettes, Spanish omelette, a Spanish cheese board with grapes and walnuts, fruit skewers and a tres leches cake to finish.
How much does catering for a First Communion cost?
It depends on three things: the pieces you choose from the menu, how many guests are coming (and how many are children), and whether you want a kitchen team and waiting staff or just the order delivered. We give you a fixed total in writing. For quantities, our [price guide](/en/catering-prices-madrid/) uses 14 pieces per guest as a reference when there's no other meal. Prices are not published on the website: we set them out in the quote. Request information or a quote and we reply to your quote request within 24–48 h.
Can we hold the First Communion at home with catering?
Yes, in two ways. With our private party catering, the kitchen team and waiting staff work in your home and look after the guests while you're with your family. If you'd rather serve it yourself, we bring the food ready-prepared through our catering delivery service. Tell us how many of you there will be and what the house is like, and we'll recommend one or the other.
How do you plan the food if there are lots of children?
Tell us in your request how many guests are children and how old they are, and we'll bear it in mind when we suggest the pieces. The menu has easy options for them, such as breaded chicken tenders, Spanish omelette mini baguettes or fruit skewers. Tell us about your celebration and we'll suggest a bespoke menu.
Do you cater christenings?
Yes. A christening is one of the celebrations we design bespoke menus for, just like a First Communion. Tell us the date, how many guests you're expecting, whether there'll be babies or small children and whether you're celebrating at home, and we'll suggest the format that suits you best.
How far in advance should we book First Communion catering?
Get in touch as soon as the parish gives you the date, because our team is booked for one specific day. You don't need a final guest list or menu: first we confirm whether we're free that day and send you a proposal, and the details can be adjusted later. We recommend requesting it at least 72 hours in advance; on high-demand dates, with more time.
