San Isidro Labrador, Madrid’s patron saint, falls on Saturday 15 May 2027. It is one of the city’s two local holidays, alongside the Almudena (9 November), and appears in Madrid City Council’s official calendar for 2027.
Because it falls on a Saturday, no working day is lost this year (in 2026 it was a Friday). That is good news for anyone planning corporate events in May: 1 May is also a Saturday, and 2 May, the Community of Madrid’s regional holiday, falls on a Sunday and is not moved, so the working week is unaffected.
Even so, it pays to fix the date of any lunch or event that month early. If you are organising a team lunch or an event, have a look at our corporate catering and ask us through our contact page.
