Dates: From 5 December 2026 to 8 December 2026
Applies to: Community of Madrid

In 2026 Constitution Day (6 December) falls on a Sunday, and the Community of Madrid moves it to Monday 7. With the Immaculate Conception on Tuesday 8, that makes a four-day long weekend, or “puente” (Spanish for “bridge”), from Saturday 5 to Tuesday 8 December, under Decree 75/2025 of the BOCM. Watch out: the holidays usually fall on the 6th and the 8th, but this year the days off are Monday 7 and Tuesday 8.

For an office manager, Friday 4 is the riskiest day: many people head off early and attendance at any event drops. The following week, 9 to 11 December, is when Christmas lunches and dinners cluster, so venues and suppliers fill up early. After that, the Christmas holidays (25 December, 1 and 6 January) thin out teams even further.

The practical approach is to fix the date and number of guests before the end of November and book your Christmas catering in advance. If you want a shorter format, look at an office breakfast or get in touch through our contact page.
